Discover how we turned complex urban planning into a captivating one-minute explainer for a local Borough Council.

Stepping into the vibrant world of video production, Nomad Graphique recently had the exhilarating challenge of creating a concise, yet engaging one-minute video for the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. Our mission? To explain the Council’s new Local Plan, a pivotal element of their long-term planning strategy, through a fresh and inviting visual medium.

Our journey with the Council started with the development of a new branding for their Local Plan. The goal was to devise a look and feel that not only resonated with the community but also simplified the complexity of urban planning. This brand development became the cornerstone of our video project, providing a visual and conceptual framework that would guide our storytelling.

Crafting the script was our first step. It needed to be informative yet digestible, turning the often dense jargon of planning strategy into relatable content. With a clear narrative in place, we sourced the perfect voices to bring our words to life, complementing them with a carefully selected soundtrack that enhanced the message without overpowering it.

The video itself took form in simple, elegant animation. We chose this style for its ability to convey information clearly and its versatility across platforms. The animations were not just illustrations; they were storytelling tools that guided the viewer through the Local Plan’s goals and impacts. This approach made the complex content accessible and engaging—a vital factor in reaching a broad audience.

Recognising the importance of social media in modern communication, we also adapted our video for Instagram. These shorter versions were designed to capture the essence of the Local Plan in bite-sized clips, reorientated for use on mobile phones, perfect for quick consumption and sharing. The response was overwhelmingly positive, affirming the effectiveness of our multimedia approach.

The success of this project has sparked a series of additional video projects, and we’re now gearing up to produce more informational videos that transform essential data into compelling visual narratives.

Welcome to the backstage of web design where innovation meets functionality! At Nomad Graphique, we recently had the thrilling task of designing the website for the 2025 World AI Awards . This project was not just about aesthetics; it was about constructing a digital platform robust enough to handle over 500 categories and a plethora of nominees. Here’s how we tackled it.

The World AI Awards are a beacon of recognition for innovators and leaders in the artificial intelligence field, celebrating breakthroughs and ideas that are propelling our society forward. With such a prestigious event, the pressure was on to create something equally groundbreaking. The brief was clear: develop a site that is as intuitive as it is beautiful, capable of managing vast amounts of data while ensuring a seamless user experience. Through a series of brainstorming sessions, our team devised a dynamic categorisation system that uses filters and tags to streamline the search process. This ensures that users can easily find nominees and categories, making their experience smooth and hassle-free.

Collaboration is key at Nomad Graphique, and our relationship with the World AI Group was built on open communication and mutual trust. Regular updates and feedback sessions ensured that we were not just meeting but exceeding their expectations. It was a partnership that allowed us to flex our creative muscles while staying aligned with the Group’s vision. We also had a really tight deadline of just 5 days — from start to finish. This not only included constructing the site, it also included designing and developing the brand for the whole Awards.
